Hawaii Federal Judge Blocks Trump's New Travel Ban

By Melissa Daniels (March 15, 2017, 7:05 PM EDT) -- A Hawaii federal judge on Wednesday blocked President Donald Trump's latest version of an immigration ban prohibiting the entry of people from six Muslim-majority countries from taking effect nationwide, while the president told a cheering crowd in Tennessee he planned to defend his order all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court.

President Donald Trump called the revised executive order "a watered-down version" that had been recommended by lawyers and reiterated his claims about Ninth Circuit decisions having a high level of being overturned.
