Pa. County Can Pursue 911 Undercharge Suit Against Telcos

By Kelcee Griffis (June 12, 2017, 4:29 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania state appeals court has revived a county's suit claiming that a group of telecommunication service providers underbilled customers and failed to remit full 911 services payments to the local government.

Judge P. Kevin Brobson of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania reversed a trial court ruling that the county of Butler, Pennsylvania, is precluded from suing a group of major service providers and ordered the lower court to examine arguments that it previously sidestepped, according to a Thursday opinion.
