Browne George Ross Gets Settlement In Atty Fee Dispute

Law360, New York (July 28, 2017, 9:31 PM EDT) -- Browne George Ross LLP told a California judge Friday that the firm has reached a financial settlement in its lawsuit alleging it was underpaid millions of dollars by its co-counsel in dozens of consumer protection class actions against mortgage lenders.

Friday's hearing was scheduled as a final status conference in the case, which was slated for trial next week, according to court records. But it began with Browne George Ross attorney Michael Bowse informing the court that the law firm had accepted an offer from defendant Berns Weiss LLP to put an end to the litigation.
