Ex-Vivendi CFO Dropped From 33 Investor Suits

Law360 (April 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After determining that the plaintiff shareholders failed to properly serve the executive with their suits, a judge has dismissed more than 30 cases against former Vivendi Universal SA Chief Financial Officer Guillaume Hannezo in connection with alleged securities and financial fraud by the company.

On Monday, Judge Richard J. Holwell of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York agreed to dismiss Hannezo without prejudice from 33 of 38 suits filed against him over an alleged scheme to boost the company's stock price...
