Cable, Telecom Giants Targeted Over Call Technology

Law360, New York (September 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Aggressive patent holding company Ronald A. Katz Technology Licensing LP has snared Time Warner Cable Inc. and a host of other corporate giants in a suit, alleging infringement of more than two dozen of its patents covering an interactive call-processing system.

The Los Angeles-based licensing company filed the suit in the U.S. District for the District of Delaware on Sept. 1, just a week after it targeted a slew of other companies in a related patent infringement suit over 17 of its communications technology patents....
