Humvee Co. Sues Activision Over 'Call Of Duty' Games

Law360, New York (November 8, 2017, 6:53 PM EST) -- The company behind the Humvee truck hit Activision Blizzard with a trademark infringement lawsuit Tuesday over its use of the iconic military vehicle in its “Call of Duty” video games.

In a complaint filed in Manhattan federal court, AM General said Activision Blizzard had “reaped billions of dollars” by using the trade dress of the famous truck, as well as the names “Humvee” and the acronym “HMMWV,” in the lucrative first-person shooter video games.
