Black Ex-Tesla Worker Says Factory Is Race Bias 'Hotbed'

Law360, New York (November 14, 2017, 3:22 PM EST) -- Electric car maker Tesla Inc.’s California factory is “a hotbed for racist behavior” toward African-Americans that includes the frequent use of racial epithets, a former worker charged Monday in a state race discrimination class action.

Former Tesla worker Marcus Vaughn alleges employees and supervisors at the company’s Fremont factory have created a hostile work environment for more than 100 African-American production workers there and that company leaders — including CEO Elon Musk — have ignored repeated complaints.
