Fla. $200M Red-Light Camera Class Action Tossed

Law360 (July 12, 2018, 8:41 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a roughly $200 million putative class action challenging local governments' use of private vendors for red-light camera ticket programs, citing a recent decision by the Florida Supreme Court affirming the legality of these collaborations.

U.S. District Judge Federico A. Moreno found the issues in the case, which consolidated claims brought by lead plaintiff Christopher L.
