Class Action Slams Ford Over Malfunctioning Touch Screens

Law360, San Francisco (July 17, 2013, 3:13 PM EDT) -- Ford Motor Co. was slammed with a class action in California federal court Monday over its MyFord Touch LCD touch-screen system, which purportedly endangers drivers by crashing frequently, leaving drivers without functioning navigation systems, defrosters, rear-view cameras or speedy 911 access following accidents.

Los Angeles-based Center for Defensive Driving filed the lawsuit on behalf of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury customers who bought vehicles containing the system, which Ford touted as "a premium interior experience that will help consumers fall in love with their vehicles again."
