3rd Circ. Vacates Class Cert. In Volvo Sunroof Suit

By Joe Van Acker (July 22, 2015, 4:35 PM EDT) -- The Third Circuit on Wednesday revoked certification of six statewide classes in a suit accusing Volvo Car Corp. of selling vehicles with defective sunroofs, finding that the classes and claims outlined in the plaintiffs' motion for certification didn't match the ones proposed in their complaint.

Plaintiffs have have alleged that sunroofs in six Volvo models from as early as 2003 don't drain properly, causing water to leak inside and damage the vehicles' interiors.
