Grace Shie On Jan. 27, 2017, President Donald Trump signed an executive order titled "Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States." The executive order includes, among other items, a 90-day restriction on travel to the United States by foreign nationals from seven countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. The EO led to the detention — and, in many cases, refusal — of individuals carrying passports from the seven designated countries.
