EPA Must List Areas Not Meeting Smog Standards By April

Law360 (March 12, 2018, 6:16 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday told the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency it has until the end of April to publish a complete list designating areas in the country as either meeting or not meeting national ambient air quality standards for ozone.

Several state attorneys general, including those from California and New York, sued the EPA in December seeking to force a date by which it would have to publish the list. Environmental groups separately filed their own suit, which was consolidated with the state AGs’....
