High Court Won't Review Block On ACA Birth Control Rules

Law360 (June 17, 2019, 4:14 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday turned away a bid by the Trump administration and a religious group for review of a block on interim rules that exempted employers with religious objections from providing birth control coverage required by the Affordable Care Act.

The justices declined a petition filed in March by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Little Sisters of the Poor seeking review over whether the Ninth Circuit properly narrowed a nationwide injunction on the interim rules that a lower court had granted in a case brought by California, Delaware, Maryland, New York and Virginia.
