Texas Biz Attys Back Sealing Records After $706M Trial

Law360 (September 22, 2020, 7:28 PM EDT) -- The State Bar of Texas Business Law Section is backing a real estate appraisal software company's bid to keep sealed exhibits that were presented during open court in a trade secrets trial that ended in a $706 million verdict. 

The Business Law Section, which has about 4,300 members, filed an amicus brief on Friday in support of HouseCanary in its dispute over whether the trial court judge properly sealed some of the exhibits.
