Air Force Awards $418M Radar System Contract

Law360 (March 6, 2018, 7:03 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded InDyne Inc. a $417.79 million contract to operate and maintain the U.S. Air Force’s Solid State Phased Array Radar System, which uses radars to monitor objects in space and determine missile threats, the department said Monday.

The $417,799,124 contract for the system, known as SSPARS, calls for the Virginia-based company to provide continuous, 24/7 administrative financial and managerial support for the five radar sites located on air force bases in California, Massachusetts, Alaska, the U.K. and Greenland.
