Ticketmaster Scalping Conspiracy Suit Kicked To Arbitration
By Hannah Albarazi (April 4, 2019, 8:11 PM EDT) -- A Ticketmaster customer alleging the world's largest ticket seller secretly conspires with scalpers to "cash in twice" on the sale of event tickets must arbitrate his claims, a California federal judge has ruled.
U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria on Wednesday dismissed a proposed class action launched by customer Allen Lee in 2018 that claimed Ticketmaster LLC and its parent company Live Nation Entertainment Inc. take a cut of tickets that are sold by scalpers.
