NJ Casino Owners Can't Abandon PokerStars Sale

Law360, New York (May 6, 2013, 10:55 PM EDT) -- Online gaming company PokerStars on Monday revived its bid to purchase Atlantic City’s the Atlantic Club after a New Jersey state court judge granted an injunction blocking the casino’s owners from selling it to anyone else. 

Superior Court Judge Raymond A. Batten signed a temporary restraining order on behalf of Rational Group US Holdings Inc., PokerStars’ parent company, and its co-buyer, Oldford Group Limited, blocking the owners of the Atlantic Club from terminating an agreement to sell the struggling casino to PokerStars.
