Deals Rumor Mill: Honeywell, Terex, London City Airport

By Benjamin Horney (February 24, 2016, 7:16 PM EST) -- Honeywell International Inc. has put its building solutions business on the chopping block, according to a Wednesday report from The Wall Street Journal, and the unit could be worth as much as $4 billion. According to the report, New Jersey-based Honeywell has tapped Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to help with the sale process. The report comes only a day after rumors sprouted that Honeywell and United Technologies Corp. were in discussions concerning a potential merger that would create a single aerospace and defense giant worth upwards of $70 billion. The sale of Honeywell's building solutions business could very well be a preemptive strike to try and ease possible regulatory unease if the duo does decide to join forces, Wednesday's report noted....
