Alleged Web Snoop Paxfire Sues Customer For $80M

Law360, New York (September 2, 2011, 7:40 PM EDT) -- Paxfire Inc., an advertising software company accused of setting up systems in Internet service providers to hijack their users' traffic, filed a $80 million lawsuit on Wednesday against the RCN Corp. customer who brought those claims in a class action.

Paxfire says that Betsy Feist, a New York woman who subscribes to RCN Internet access, libeled it when she accused the company in August of running a secret system to redirect her Google and other searches to fake mockup sites so it could gain more advertising revenue....
