'Wife' A Job Title At Billionaire's News Co., UN Jury Hears

By Pete Brush (July 21, 2017, 6:03 PM EDT) -- A billionaire Chinese real estate boss accused of bribing United Nations officials pumped millions of dollars into his New York news outfit, using it to make fat payments to hangers-on including the wife of late General Assembly President John Ashe, an accountant testified on Friday.

Details about the finances of Ng Lap Seng's South-South News from 2010 until the billionaire's arrest in October 2015 came out via bookkeeper Jianqing "Wendy" Zhu, a current Ng employee who received immunity for her trial testimony by U.S. District Judge Vernon S. Broderick.
