NY Town Says Saint-Gobain Can't Halt Tainted Water Class

Law360 (February 19, 2021, 6:40 PM EST) -- Residents of a New York town say Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corp. and other companies facing accusations over perfluorooctanoic acid in their drinking water are trying to defeat class certification by asserting that the facts are overly complicated, arguing there's a clear narrative of universal harm.

Residents of Hoosick, New York, said Thursday that arguments over how much PFOA was exposed or the original source of the PFOA detract from the uniform allegations that deserve class certification, according to a pair of reply briefs.
