Raiders Beat Oakland's Suit Over NFL Team's Move, For Now

Law360 (July 25, 2019, 11:17 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Thursday threw out a suit over the NFL allowing the Raiders team to move from Oakland to Las Vegas, finding the city has not plausibly alleged it was harmed by the NFL policy and structure that paved the way for the move.

In its December suit, Oakland slammed the NFL and its teams for allowing the Raiders to leave, claiming the decision was a violation of the league's own policies as well as federal antitrust laws. Also, Oakland had been wrongly shut out of the process, the city said.
