Craft Beer's Growth Is Causing Congress To Brew Reforms

Law360, New York (July 30, 2015, 5:57 PM EDT) -- In March, the Brewers Association, a trade association representing small and independent American craft brewers, released 2014 data on the United States craft beer industry. For the first time, the craft segment reached double-digit volume share of the marketplace, 11 percent to be exact.

In 2014, craft brewers produced 22.2 million barrels of beer, which catalyzed an 18 percent rise in production volume, and a witnessed 22 percent increase in retail dollar value. The retail dollar value was estimated at $19.6 billion, 19.3 percent of the market.
