GAO Sustains Motorola Protest Of $2.5M Army Contract

Law360, New York (February 5, 2014, 3:38 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has sustained Motorola Solutions Inc.’s protest of a $2.5 million contract for a land mobile radio system for the Detroit Arsenal that had been awarded to Harris Corp., according to documents made public Wednesday.

In its Jan. 28 decision, the GAO found that the U.S. Army Materiel Command improperly accepted Harris’ proposal to provide radio units to the arsenal because the proposal included a Motorola radio that Harris didn’t actually have the means to obtain.
