FCC Moves To Open Up Mid-Band Airwaves In 3 Territories

Law360 (May 7, 2021, 9:26 PM EDT) -- Puerto Rico, Guam, and American Samoa will be able to expand commercial deployments of advanced wireless service using mid-band spectrum under multiple actions the Federal Communications Commission took Friday.

The FCC announced that it was launching efforts to make the 3.5 GHz, or 3550-3700 MHz, band of the airwaves available for 5G and other uses to a "diverse array of operators."
