FTC’s $4B DirecTV False Ad Suit In Peril As Trial Paused

Law360, San Francisco (August 25, 2017, 7:01 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge paused a bench trial Friday of the FTC’s $4 billion false advertising suit against DirecTV so DirecTV can seek partial judgment, saying after the FTC rested its case in chief there was a “substantial issue” over whether the agency had offered evidence to support its case in whole or in part.
