Fiat Chrysler, Bosch Must Face EcoDiesel Emissions MDL

Law360 (March 16, 2018, 9:06 PM EDT) -- Fiat Chrysler and Bosch must face consumers’ fraud and racketeering claims in multidistrict litigation in California over Jeep and Ram diesel trucks allegedly outfitted with emissions-cheating devices, a federal judge ruled late Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Edward M. Chen issued a lengthy, 134-page ruling largely rejecting efforts by FCA US LLC; parts supplier Robert Bosch GmbH; and VM Motori SpA, the Fiat Chrysler-owned unit that designed and manufactured the EcoDiesel engines at issue in the case, to dismiss claims brought by owners of 2014 to 2016...
