9th Circ. Grants US Contractor Fees After Toss Of $1M Award

Law360 (April 8, 2019, 2:00 PM EDT) -- A Ninth Circuit panel on Friday granted a U.S. contractor's bid for attorney fees a little more than two months after tossing a $1.07 million arbitral award granted to an Afghan construction company over canceled U.S. Army Corps of Engineers subcontracts.

The three-judge panel in its brief order granted the motion by ECC Centcom Constructors LLC and ECC International LLC but left it up to a special master to determine the exact amount of the fee award.
