Sharks NHL Team Rips Transit Expansion's Parking Impacts

By Michael Phillis (February 2, 2021, 4:10 PM EST) -- The San Jose Sharks have told the Ninth Circuit the Federal Transit Administration ignored the parking impacts of a Bay Area Rapid Transit expansion near the team's stadium in violation of environmental laws.

Sharks Sports & Entertainment LLC asked the Ninth Circuit on Monday to overturn a lower court's rejection of its allegations that the federal government violated the National Environmental Policy Act. The National Hockey League team said a new station would increase demand near its facility and that the expected parking crunch wasn't properly examined.
