More States Jump On Cadmium Ban Bandwagon

Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 1:52 PM EST) -- Three more states have introduced legislation to ban cadmium and other unsafe metals from children's jewelry, following in the footsteps of the U.S. Congress and several other states that have launched measures to keep the potentially dangerous toys off the shelves.

The latest legislation — put forth by California, New Jersey and Minnesota — comes as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is in the midst of a formal investigation into cadmium in children’s metal jewelry.
