Barclays Fights To Keep Injunction In 'Fly' News Spat

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 7:20 PM EDT) -- Barclays Capital Inc. and other banks have asked a judge to reject's bid to stay an injunction limiting its release of reports on their equity research recommendations, arguing that Fly can't wield the First Amendment to fend off claims of "hot news" theft.

Barclays, Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. and Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. filed their opposition Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to Fly's bid for a stay or modification of the injunction pending its appeal...
