Wal-Mart Adopts Cadmium Testing Standards For Toys

Law360, New York (April 28, 2010, 1:00 PM EDT) -- With lawmakers around the country moving to ban cadmium from children's products, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has started to test its products for the toxic metal and adopt new standards for its toys and children's jewelry.

After having some of its children's jewelry products singled out for cadmium content in a recent Associated Press report, Wal-Mart immediately pulled those items from its shelves, the retail giant said Monday.
