Judge Won't Move Super Bowl Suit To Texas Court

Law360, New York (April 12, 2011, 8:40 PM EDT) -- Ticket holders to Super Bowl XLV who were denied seats at the game lost a bid Tuesday to have their class action sent back to the Texas state court where it was first filed.

The National Football League was able to show that Ken Laffin, David Wanta and Rebecca Burgwin were seeking damages in excess of $5 million, the threshold for federal jurisdiction, according to Judge Barbara M. G. Lynn of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
