NFL Owners Ratify Agreement To End Lockout

Law360, New York (July 21, 2011, 9:51 PM EDT) -- National Football League team owners ratified a settlement and new 10-year collective bargaining agreement late Thursday that, if approved by the players' union, would end an antitrust class action against the league in Minnesota federal court and save the 2011 football season.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the vote at a league meeting in Atlanta, Ga. and said the new league year can begin as early as July 27, assuming the National Football League Players Association recertifies quickly and votes on the deal.
