VH1's 'Wives' Execs Try To Kill Arenas' 9th Circ. Appeal

Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 6:39 PM EST) -- The producers of VH1 reality show “Basketball Wives: Los Angeles” on Tuesday disputed professional basketball player Gilbert Arenas' arguments in his Ninth Circuit appeal of a lower court’s refusal to stop the show from airing over allegations Arenas’ trademark is being misused.

Shed Media US Inc. and Laura Govan, the basketball star’s former fiancee, said in a brief filed in the Ninth Circuit that Arenas has still failed to demonstrate that BWLA in any way exploits his trademark or image.
