Google, Others Triumph In Web Browser Patent Trial

Law360, New York (February 9, 2012, 7:44 PM EST) -- A Texas federal jury has found invalid a pair of interactive Web browser patents asserted by Eolas Technologies Inc., bringing a sudden end to its infringement case against Google Inc., YouTube LLC and others, according to defense counsel Thursday.

Jason Wolff of Fish & Richardson PC told Law360 that a jury determined as invalid Eolas' asserted patent claims, ending the Web technology company's expansive infringement suit, which was to have gone through a total of four separate trials had Eolas' patents not been ruled invalid....
