Merscorp, Others Say Texas Law Precludes Record Fees Suit

Law360, New York (March 12, 2012, 7:13 PM EDT) -- Merscorp Inc., Bank of America NA and others asked a federal judge Friday to dismiss a putative class action alleging they filed false documents in Texas counties' land records and failed to pay required fees, arguing that the Texas legislature had explicitly approved their methods.
