Time Warner Customers Seek Refund For Sports Blackout

Law360, New York (March 14, 2012, 5:20 PM EDT) -- Time Warner Cable Inc. bilked customers when it stopped carrying networks that air games featuring New York sports teams but continued to charge the same subscription fees, according to an amended complaint filed Tuesday in New Jersey federal court.

The proposed class action, filed by New Jersey resident Harold M. Hoffman, stems from a 49-day period during which the MSG and MSG+ sports channels were blacked out for Time Warner customers.
