Live Nation Settles Concert Ticket Antitrust MDL

Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 8:27 PM EDT) -- Live Nation Entertainment Inc. and Clear Channel Communications Inc. on Tuesday settled with plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation that incorporates 22 antitrust class actions, two months after a California federal judge threw out two of the actions for relying on outdated data.

The joint stipulation for a stay of the proceedings pending a finalization of the settlement did not provide any details of the deal. Concertgoers accused the companies of monopolizing the market for rock music tickets.
