Digital Music Plaintiffs Oppose Dismissal

Law360 (September 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A putative class accusing several major record companies of price-fixing in the Internet and compact-disc music markets has fought the defendants' efforts to dismiss the multidistrict antitrust complaint.

The plaintiffs on Thursday filed a memorandum in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York opposing the defendants' motion to dismiss, arguing, among other things, that their complaint satisfied the U.S. Supreme Court's recently heightened pleading requirement for federal conspiracy charges.
