Iraqi Nationals Can't Revive L-3 Wage Suit In 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (June 15, 2012, 6:06 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit declined Thursday to revive a suit by hundreds of Iraqi nationals who accused defense contractor L-3 Communications Corp. of shortchanging them on overtime pay, determining that the district court correctly ruled the case a collective action for which claims were time-barred.

In 2010, U.S. District Court Judge Manuel Real sided with L-3 in dismissing the suit, ruling claims brought by the 351 plaintiffs — who had been hired to prepare U.S. soldiers for war — were time-barred under the Fair Labor Standards Act...
