Dallas Cowboys Escape Scrimmage Over Super Bowl Tickets

Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 11:01 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge on Thursday dismissed the Dallas Cowboys from a breach of contract class action brought by Super Bowl XLV ticket holders who were denied seats at the game, but said the National Football League would have to face the allegations.

U.S. District Judge Barbara M. G. Lynn said the tickets were a contract only between the NFL and the ticket purchasers, not between the buyers and the Dallas Cowboys, which hosted the game.
