Yankee Stadium Servers' Tip Suit Comes Up Short

Law360, New York (August 2, 2012, 2:42 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge nixed a putative class action Wednesday accusing Legends Hospitality LLC of keeping service charges that should have gone to Yankee Stadium food service workers, holding that there wasn't enough money at issue to give the court jurisdiction.

U.S. District Judge Richard Sullivan granted a dismissal bid based on Legends' argument that the case didn't reach the monetary thresholds necessary to give the federal court jurisdiction over the plaintiffs' New York Labor Law claim.
