Enviros Say Law Change For LA Stadium Is Unconstitutional

Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 2:05 PM EDT) -- A group of environmentalists on Thursday sued the state of California for allegedly amending its environmental review laws to favor a proposed $1.5 billion football stadium in downtown Los Angeles, calling the changes unconstitutional.

The Play Fair at Farmers Field Coalition and four individual plaintiffs contend that law SB292, which was passed last year, violates two sections of the California Constitution by sending all environmental challenges to the project directly to the state's Court of Appeals.
