LA Clears Path For Construction Of $1.5B NFL Stadium

Law360, New York (September 28, 2012, 6:00 PM EDT) -- The city of Los Angeles gave the final thumbs-up Friday to kick off a $1.5 billion NFL stadium project spearheaded by Anschutz Entertainment Group, despite concerns over the company's looming sale and community push-back to the project's environmental review.

In two unanimous votes at a Friday hearing, the city council formally approved the project plan and certified its environmental impact report, paving the way for the massive entertainment venue to be built.
