PriceLine Settles Patent Dispute Over Online Advertising Technology

Law360 (August 23, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- InternetAd Systems LLC, the Illinois-based subsidiary of patent holding firm Acacia Technologies, has wrenched a settlement out of defendant PriceLine.com in a patent dispute over a feature common in online advertising.

The settlement eases Connecticut-based PriceLine out of InternetAd’s sweeping litigation campaign, which named British Airways, Continental Airlines and two international hotel groups as defendants in U.S. District Court Northern District of Texas.
