Miami Heat Fan Drops Suit Against Spurs Over Rested Stars

Law360, Miami (March 29, 2013, 3:24 PM EDT) -- A Miami-area basketball fan has withdrawn his putative class action against the NBA's San Antonio Spurs in Florida state court that accused the club of ripping off 16,000 ticketholders by refusing to play its top performers in a November matchup against the Miami Heat.

In a notice filed March 20, Attorney Larry McGuinness voluntarily withdrew his claims against the Spurs, who played their reserves that night in place of All-Stars such as Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli.
