Law360, New York (April 9, 2013, 12:08 PM EDT) -- An executive at cross-platform messaging service WhatsApp told AllThingsDigital on Tuesday that her company was not exploring a $1 billion sale to Google Inc., refuting a Monday report from Digital Trends. Speculation had swirled that the Silicon Valley mobile applications company was closing in on sale terms with the search giant, edging toward a landmark sale. In the mobile services space, a deal of that size would have only been rivaled by Facebook Inc.'s $1 billion deal for photo-sharing app Instagram, inked last year.
