Google AdWords Suit Survives In Last-Chance Effort

Law360, New York (April 9, 2013, 7:22 PM EDT) -- A proposed California class action accusing Google Inc. of unfairly applying its AdWords advertising pricing policies largely survived a dismissal bid Tuesday after being given one final opportunity to cure pleading deficiencies that gutted the suit in its first two incarnations.

The third time was the charm for advertiser Rick Woods, whose second amended complaint claiming Google failed to apply automatic discounts as promised when it placed his Web ads in less-than-optimal locations was left largely unscathed by U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel.
