Deals Rumor Mill: Johnson Controls, Verizon, Apollo

The move comes after negotiations with several of the division's rivals collapsed on the heels of weaker-than-expected earnings. While auto parts makers Visteon Corp. and Delphi Automotive PLC are still among contenders for the unit, Johnson sought to widen its pool of prospective buyers by dipping into the private equity industry....
